OVERVIEW: CRADLES are key components in SHELL development. A CRADLE houses, nurtures, breeds, and focuses dedicated WEAVEWORM colonies programmed and assigned to its dedicated biomatic print processes. Engineered as part of SEKIGUCHI GENETICS patented SHELL "birthing" science, CRADLES are vital to the creation, customization, and upkeep of a healthy, operational SHELL.

Each CRADLE relies on CYBERACME sub-systems and neural support links to bolster the connectivity between the CRADLE's function, each worm cluster and individual worm, and each printed SHELL's central operations. This provides a RUNNER's ONI with direct access to not only the CRADLE's proprietary systems, but also to opportunities for unique jailbreaking of a CRADLE's functions. Any reprogramming voids all warranties, but few RUNNERS care about the legality of the tech they use for illegal purposes.

SHELL TECH: CRADLE FUNCTION

CORE CRADLE FUNCTION: The WEAVEworm colonies housed within a CRADLE require energy to operate at peak efficiency. A RUNNER's ONI, as approved by CYBERACME, can provide that RUNNER's CRADLE with energy upon successful completion of CONTRACTS [offer not limited to CYBERACME CONTRACT completion]. But a RUNNER can also "feed" its CRADLE via the MATTER CONVERTER inside their VAULT.

The use of a MATTER CONVERTER to break down unwanted or excess goods [weapons, materials, consumables, etc.] provides raw matter as sustenance for WEAVEWORMS while in their dormant state between SHELL printing or augmentation. Keeping each colony fed maintains their operation integrity while also ensuring their longevity.

RUNNERS have a constant need for SHELL enhancement, repair, and replacement. Maintaining WEAVEWORM colony health and learning the value in how, when, and the cost of SHELL augmentation via the CRADLE can elevate a RUNNER's odds for survival, so be sure to maintain your CRADLE and nurse your colonies with care.

WEAVEWORMS, THE CRADLE, AND YOU: To get the best out of the CRADLE, a RUNNER must familiarize themself with options available to improve a SHELL's operations and abilities.

A CRADLE typically houses six types of WEAVEWORM colonies, each programmed with a focus on a specific attribute within the SHELL's "living" bio-cybernetic systems. Those attributes are…

    • STRENGTH

    • RECHARGE

    • DEXTERITY

    • ENDURANCE

    • SUPPORT

    • RESISTANCE

A RUNNER feeds their WEAVEWORM colonies to increase their CRADLE's available energy, then selects available stats within their CRADLE's attributes to improve each over time.

It is up to the individual RUNNER how they choose to boost a given stat line. Preferred SHELLS or run-styles will inform CRADLE customization. There is no right or wrong path toward becoming the best version of your synthetic self.

REMARK: At any point, a RUNNER can choose to reset their CRADLE, allowing for trial and error as they test the potential of the SHELLS.
