The case for shared delusion and mass hallucination [H. Tran, M. Jones, O. Hamada]
"…proposal that the entirety of the phenomenon we have come to know as 'The Anomaly' is, in fact, a shared delusion. While incidents of mass psychogenic illness are rarely this widespread, they are so inconsistently studied and varied in presentation that it cannot be ruled out. See as prior reference the so-called 'shriek epidemic' among orbital station workers in Sol, or the starvation delusions observed in Mars inhabitants diagnosed with post-famine polyphagia. In our case, the origin of the delusion would be severe trauma caused by…"

Just an auditory trick caused by the fog. Harmless but we had a few techs tied up for hours chasing the sounds. Basic rules: don't look, don't answer, don't follow, and you should be ok. Tempting to play callback games with them but better to just ignore.

NOTE TO ALL: I found three more unauthorized "visitors" to the site today. It seems like we just can't keep people away. One reported NOT knowing how she got here. SUMMARY: Dr. Tobias Luttero's early ethogram of native Tau Ceti ticks. Ethograms were used in field studies to identify animal behavior patterns. Reconstructed from automated backups after initial observation equipment (and data storage medium) were consumed by ticks.
===================================================================
Revised ethogram of solitary ticks separated from nests by at least 30m.
Alarm (A): tick emits a high-pitched sound to deter predation. Defensive.
Approach (Ap): tick approaches rapidly in a straight line over the shortest distance possible. Aggressive.
Chasing (Ch): tick pursues a moving target for at least 10m with no regard for its own survival. Aggressive.
Foraging (F): tick consumes very small quantities of a novel environmental object. Tick foraging does not exhibit noticeable investigatory behavior. Edibility criteria is unknown.
Retreat (R): although it is logical to infer the existence of this behavior, it has not been successfully observed in the field.[1]
Roll (Rl): Tick tucks legs against abdomen and curls in like a millipede. Only observed in soft-body nymphs stranded outside a nest. Defensive.
Singing (S): inaudible to the human ear but detectible by audio sensors. Tick provokes solitary ticks or nests within hearing range to chase a single target.[2]
Threat Display Abdomen (Tda): Tick moves abdomen from side to side. Aggressive.
Waving (W): Tick ceases movement, lifts each leg in succession, and rotates it counterclockwise. Purpose unknown.
===================================================================
[1] T.L: Sudden surges in aggression require me to withdraw from visual contact before the tick.
[2] T.L: Unclear why ticks do not attempt to encircle targets like ants. Possible evidence against eusociality.

[TLUT]: Do you really need my help, Mari? Public education isn't my wheelhouse.
[MHAS]: I'll make it easy: You give me the facts, and I'll handle the public talking points.
[TLUT]: Uh… right. So, um, tick milk isn't really milk. Ticks have high protein content in their waste secretions.
[TLUT]: We encourage the ticks to deposit their waste in collection pods with artificial pheromones. When digested by genetically modified bacteria, the resulting liquid is a complete protein for humans.
[MHAS]: Ah, complete protein, sustainably harvested. That's perfect.
[TLUT]: Really?
[MHAS]: This isn't Earth. We are much closer to the origin of what we eat, so it helps to know the details. Is the harvesting procedure hazardous?
[TLUT]: Oh no, not for the ticks. A bit tricky on our end, though. Pheromones make the ticks more territorial.
[TLUT]: I designed specialized PPE to protect our cultivation staff. Just waiting on admin approval before we roll it out.
[MHAS]: Sustainable, scalable—so far so good. What about consumption? How much of a person's caloric intake can come from tick milk?
[TLUT]: Up to a third for healthy adults. Kids can drink it too, but… we don't know enough about vascular growth syndrome to give a safe threshold.
[MHAS]: Not a problem. We can create supplementary pamphlets for families.
[MHAS]: One more thing, mostly for my own curiosity: How would you describe the taste?
[TLUT]: Texture's, uh, halfway between engineered milk and yogurt. Flavor's, ah… yeasty. There's a sample right there; try it yourself.

LESSON 3.4: MARS, OUR FIRST COLONY
Mars has always held a special place in human hearts. For centuries, humans imagined the Red Planet as home to alien mysteries and mythical creatures. The reality of Martian colonization is just as interesting and important as the stories we once told about it.
Early space programs sent probes and landers with science instruments to study the Martian environment. We needed to understand the Martian environment before sending the very first colony mission from Earth. Colonization of Mars happened in stages: brave volunteers left Earth with their families, and the UESC Colonial Registry carefully evaluated how many people Mars could support before sending more volunteers.
[illustration: artist's rendition of a colony ship in Martian orbit]
The thin atmosphere, cold temperatures, and lack of native life made Mars a harsh environment for the early colonists. Life was challenging, and events like the Polar Ice Crisis pushed the colonists to be creative with limited resources. It's important to honor the sacrifices of Martian colonists, and the crucial lessons learned from Mars.
Mars was an important first step. But the next human colony had to be different: greener, more Earth-like, and self-sufficient.

LESSON 5.25: A WATERSHED FAMINE
In the mid-2360s, the worst famine in recorded history struck Earth and Mars. A fungus attacked wheat, rice, sorghum, and other basic grains worldwide. Rich or poor, everyone went hungry.
[illustration: massive food riots turn violent]
Selfish actions from previous governments only made the crisis worse. Wealthier countries hoarded food, and private militias seized control where governments collapsed. Fortunately, corporations like NuCaloric and Traxus refused to sit by and do nothing. NuCaloric's Agriculture division worked tirelessly to reform how food was grown, stored, and distributed.
The tragic famine forced us to confront how much food we really waste. Efficiency, uniformity, and nutrient density are key to keeping everyone fed and healthy. These principles are even more important for you, a Tau Ceti colonist. Your survival and the colony's success depend on how and what you eat.

LESSON 7.15: MISSION TO THE STARS
[illustration: in-progress hull of the UESC Marathon]
In 2408, UESC and Traxus engineers laid the first hull segments of the UESC Marathon. Humanity's most important mission had begun: a mission to a new home among the stars.
The Marathon's construction was a human effort across two planets. Traxus Offworld Industries provided many of the raw materials, work force, and engineering skills to build the Marathon itself. NuCaloric delivered the survival basics that the Marathon and its colonists would need for success. UESC scientists, engineers, and politicians led the overall effort and kept the project on target.
Building the Marathon took decades: 64 years, in fact. Experts advising the project all agreed that using Deimos—Mars's younger moon—was crucial to the Marathon's success. The carbon and mineral deposits in Deimos would provide the ship's mining drones with raw materials during its long journey.
No one in human history had tried to build a multi-kilometer starship inside a moon. The Mars colony made tremendous sacrifices to support the Marathon project. Deimos is just the most visible sacrifice, and we owe them a special debt of gratitude.
In 2472, the Marathon launched with 30,000 of Earth's best scientists and bravest settlers. For over three centuries, the Marathon forged through the darkness of space until it reached its destination.

CONCLUDING LESSON: OUR COSMIC HOME
Tau Ceti IV is G-class main series star, 11.9 light-years from Sol. On the vast scale of space, that's a cozy next-door neighbor, perfect for human habitation.
Before we even landed, Tau Ceti IV had green plants, oxygen in the atmosphere, drinkable water, and a stable climate. Our leaders picked New Cascadia's location because it had everything we needed to survive. The first scientists were astonished by the clean water, flourishing plants, and fearless animals that first greeted them.
Founding New Cascadia wasn't as simple as landing a few transports from the Marathon. Engineers set up pre-built habitation units, electricity, and transport for everyone to use. Scouts and survey teams explored the area to make sure it was useful for building and farming. UESC soldiers patrolled the perimeters to keep everyone safe. All before the first civilian colonists woke from their long sleep.
Today, you can still see the Marathon in orbit. Many people and three AI stayed behind to keep the ship running and support New Cascadia. The next time you're outside, wave up at them and remember everything it took to reach Tau Ceti IV.

===================================================================
S: ROBERTS-D // R: ANDRYSIAK-O // T: TAU CETI PETS
Dear Dr. Andrysiak,
I was referred to you by Dr. Mari Hassan regarding a proposal I've made to develop engineered "pets" for the Tau Ceti IV colonists leaving as part of the Marathon mission.
In our isolation studies, we have seen the expected rate of self-reported loneliness among volunteer "colonists." We are concerned that our results are biased by the fact that our volunteers know their isolation will eventually end, which will not be the case for the colonists settling on Tau Ceti. Although the actual settlers will have a decently large community to rely on, we know from past landmark studies that structured socialization opportunities can actually increase friction, even in the cases of people with similar social network models. All this leads me to consider non-human interaction instead.
Considering the popularity of animal interaction simsuites on Earth and Mars, I feel strongly that we should ship the colonists off with similar tech, but I'm not sure it will be enough. I advise considering domesticating native Tau Ceti fauna, but that would take generations to become viable. Artificial seems to be the way to go.
I'm told that Sekiguchi Genetics is providing engineered "seeder" supplies for the voyage, and hypothetically those starters could be used to create endless synthetic frames once the colonists touch down on Tau Ceti and provide other necessary resources. I think we'd just have to send along the blueprints for the companion creature (along with any specialized materials), but I'm no expert. What are your thoughts?
Regards,
Dr. Dylan Roberts

I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance. SekGen has a number of research protocols in this cluster; the furthest along is KAAL1, but that is focused on mapping relatable traits to synthetic frames, a way of mimicking companionship. The internals aren't currently suitable for your purposes, but we could reuse the base frame.
Thinking out loud, we could try something simpler. The FELI2 protocol was working on improving the base FELI1 model on a number of metrics, including frame flexibility and granular behavior modifiers to suit any individual owner. I have some of that data in storage. I'll put in the pull request, and we can begin brainstorming.

SUMMARY: UESC scientist Dr. Dylan Roberts contacts Sekiguchi Genetics scientist Dr. Oliwia Andrysiak about engineering pets for colonists of the upcoming Marathon voyage
===================================================================
S: ANDRYSIAK-O // R: ROBERTS-D // T: FEL1PR "FELINI" SPEC
Dr. Roberts,
Hope you're doing well. I certainly am, since the additional funding for the Felini project is financing iterative prototypes at a pace I wouldn't have dreamed of a year ago. I've never been so busy, and I have you to thank/blame for that!
Here's the roughout of the deliverables we can achieve in the current timeframe for the companion Felini:
INTERNALS
As I mentioned earlier, we'll have granular behavioral nodes, ensuring that no two units (Felini? Felinis?) are exactly the same. We can pull from a table of high-testing presets and then customize based on real-time operator feedback. User recognition and affection will be weighted to promote bonding.
For mental acuity, the normal class-D synth rules apply, so we'll put buffers in place to hardcap problem-solving and agency. Recall is currently unlimited, allowing for delighter moments, where a unit may "recognize" a person or object from years earlier and behave accordingly. (We might want to implement a trauma decay to avoid a perpetual tail-under-rocking-chair scenario.)
Designing behavior protocols for companionship vs warfare is presenting unique challenges, but it's nothing we can't handle on the fly. Thankfully, the natural aloofness of our animal model works heavily in our favor here.
EXTERNALS
Normal feline skeletal structure for the chassis, with 4 legs, tail, ears, etc. Heat venting is done via the seams between plates, so external apertures are cosmetic only.
We're going to lean hard into kindchenschema for the facade – round head, two large eyes, small mouth (an earlier version had a wide mouth and the UX results were strongly negative). It's imperative to trigger an innate nurturing response in people. We'll stick with what works and mimic existing cats closely here.
Fur is an issue, as New Cascadia's atmospheric moisture will encourage fungal growth in dense coats. Attempts at infusing anti-microbial copper into synthetic hairs are promising, but the resulting texture is unpleasant to the touch. Interestingly, a hairless Felini was tested and though it had high attachment with about 9% of the users, the vast majority of comments included keywords like "gross," "vile," and "indecent." We'll be pursuing a hypoallergenic shorthair version, since we can't realistically expect people to bond with a creature that looks like a naked little gremlin.

TAG@PFAN Not well. T76 went outside by Bioresearch and started digging straight down into the mud. I tried to pull it out, but it kept digging and the tail popped off in my hand. Scans show it got almost 13 meters down before it stopped moving (burned out from clogged vents I assume). On top of the behavior issues, 13m down is way more power than they should be able to output. So TAG@LNAM that tunnel through the mud could just as easily be a hole in an airtight hab, or a breach in a rubber airlock, etc.

SUMMARY: Excerpt from internal communication system dedicated to reporting behavior concerns in New Cascadia Felini units, with comments by support staff.
===================================================================
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 1
C/S Felini unit 738S became hot to the touch during sleep mode to the point of causing a synthetic blanket to start to melt. Unit is currently alert and mobile. Not aggressive. Not responding to remote override commands. [ONGOING]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 1
C/S Felini unit 122T is retrieving hazardous plants from the colony outskirts and presenting them to the owner. Reports rashes/blisters caused by unknown plants placed in bed by unit. [NOTE Remote scan shows unit is ignoring hazard flags, not sure why inhibitor is letting it pick up these species in the first place —RYAB]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 1
C/S Felini unit 440L has run away from owner. Unit escaped out of window 1 day prior to report. Not responding to location data call. [NOTE customer reported two other units (079A and 205X) as runaways and one (280H) as unresponsive since 2808. Suspicious circumstances in all. Recommend no longer providing Felinis —RYAB UPDATE this is a loyal customer, work with them now to facilitate purchase of replacement, raising to pri1 —MLUC]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 2
C/S Felini unit 508S engages in repetitive spinning behavior. Lasts for hours. When interrupted, unit exhibits fear behavior and cowers. [NOTE seeing this issue across different units from 490S-510S series, could be a production flaw? —FFRO]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 3
C/S Felini unit 014S collects knives. Unit gathers knives from hab and other accessible areas and places them in a "nest." Owner concerned. Hab unit includes young children. [Behavior modules functioning correctly here. Unit has developed fondness for chosen object, doesn't "know" they're knives —MBAH]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 3
C/S Felini unit 350S is exhibiting "obsessive staring" behavior, silently watching owner at all times. Unit moves away whenever owner approaches, maintaining a ~2m distance while staring. Behavior unchanging after 3 weeks. Owner is "disturbed."
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 4
C/S Felini unit 077T is vocalizing in a "humanlike voice." Finds it "unsettling" and the unit uses "abusive language." All other behavior normal. Unable to replicate during tech call [UPDATE 2x tech calls no repro, rec downgrade or closeout —JTOM]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 4
C/S Felini unit 481H has "doubled." Owner says two versions of unit appear simultaneously at times. "Real" unit is kept inside but another appears outside the hab and looks in, causing real unit stress response (panting, yowling). [?? this does not belong in a bug list —MBAH]
FELINI UNITS || BUG REPORT | PRI 4
C/S Felini unit 192A knocks objects off countertops and shelves in hab. Unit ignores behavior orders and no-go zones. [as intended, won't fix —MBAH]

===================================================================
[SMD84]: I've got… an alert showing a residential breach on quad 2 habsys.
[CHM06]: If it's quad 2, it's the ghost cat.
[SMD84]: I'm calling up the visual feed.
[CHM06]: There's a Felini in quad 2 who all the doors open for.
[SMD84]: I'm seeing… I-I'm seeing a whole row of residential doors standing open.
[CHM06]: Scrub back, and you'll see a Felini walking by.
[SMD84]: Uh, visual review shows… um, I'm seeing the doors open in sequence.
[SMD84]: An unregistered Felini unit moves down the corridor at the same time… probably inconsequential.
[CHM06]: It's not inconsequential; it's the ghost cat.
[SMD84]: Reviewing door signals. No overrides logged… nothing is logged. The doors don't know they're open.
[CHM06]: They'll close in a second after the cat leaves.
[SMD84]: Readying security overrides… Wait, the doors are closing in sequence. Breach addressed? Breach addressed.
[CHM06]: And everything's back to normal until she walks by again.
[SMD84]: Sorry, what's the deal with the cat?
[CHM06]: Ah, been here forever. She's a rogue Felini unit that hangs out around quad 2 and some of the industrial stations.
[CHM06]: Can't be tracked because she doesn't leave a signal, can't be caught because she's got adaptive camo and goes invisible if anyone gets close.
[CHM06]: Ghost cat.
[SMD84]: And she opens doors?
[CHM06]: Not exactly. The doors don't receive any kind of signal we can detect. They just, uh… open when she's around and close when she leaves.
[SMD84]: And this isn't a huge problem?
[CHM06]: Well… not unless she goes over to Quarantine.

SUMMARY: A recording of a survivor after New Cascadia's collapse and abandonment. Colonist voiceprint cannot be precisely matched to New Cascadia records, and could be one of several individuals using the name "Jasper."
===================================================================
[whirring]
JASP: CyAc original, battery half-life of three hundred years. Jasper here. Don't… know if anyone will ever hear this. Still, I gotta try.
JASP: Go further out. Stand on the spot you imagine the horizon line is and look back. You shouldn't even be able to see Marsh glow. Hunting's decent out there in the wilderness.
JASP: Ticks are less aggressive, but… god am I sick of living off birds and bugs. Real meat's chewy; the fibers get stuck in your teeth. Mom didn't tell me that. I guess because nobody told her either.
JASP: I just… I'm gonna say it. Reed's boys are gone too, so there's nobody to shoot me for sedition. Universe is a big damn place. What are the odds, huh?
JASP: "A new home for humanity," they called it—my mother and my mother's mother. "Tau Ceti IV, the promised land." Tens of thousands of ordinary people gave up everyone and everything they ever knew just for a chance at something better.
JASP: And for a while, it is… better. Then, one day… boom, Marathon goes dark, nobody talks. UESC gets real testy if you try.
JASP: Reed says Galea's dead. So's her successor, and her successor's successor. So they put Caruso in charge. And what happens under President Caruso?
JASP: Weird energy fields erupt across the planet's surface. Crops get sick. People get sick. Crops die. People die, some because of the contagion, others because…
JASP: Because…
JASP: I'd point the finger at Caruso, but he was just the fall guy. We were set up. Three hundred years ago, when Earth pointed the Marathon out here… we were all set up.
[beeps, whir]
JASP: I know, even I think I sound crazy. But you're all gone, and I'm living off bugs; crazy's the new normal. Please… Please, if anyone is still out there…
JASP: I can't die alone.

SUMMARY: Self-reflective survival aphorisms authored by "Jasper." Displays significant psychological drift from previous communications, possibly due to the influence of the referenced "red messenger."
===================================================================
We were told our mission was bold, dangerous, visionary. There's nothing more terrible than accidental prescience.
Nothing's secure from the red messenger. Security's an illusion as thin as its cloak.
I wake. I hide. I lie to myself. Truth and lies look the same to a coward in the dark.
The red messenger's existence fills me with questions beyond number. That's why I flee from it. If it takes me apart, I can't admire the implications of its presence.
Our ambition cast a terrible shadow over Deimos. A shadow that followed and devoured us?
I have too much freedom. Freedom from society, war, laws, duty, currency, contracts, family, crisis, order… I suffocate from this cavernous freedom.
Solitude made me into a monster. When the red messenger descends, and I'm no longer alone, I'm human again.
Why haven't I ended it? Beauty exists on Tau Ceti, but only because I'm still here to see it. This is my final home. I won't condemn it to premature ugliness.

MAIN FAMILY SUITE: Arthur; Lilith; Bastion; Gabriel; Icarus; Darius; Naraah; Joy
SUB-SUITE: Icarus; Darius
OVERVIEW:
- Arthur is the initial colony AI developed for the Tau Ceti IV colony project.
- Upon the UESC Marathon's arrival in the Tau Ceti solar system, Arthur was brought fully online to initiate the orbital docking of the Marathon and to oversee the implementation of colonization efforts.
- Once the UESC Marathon docked at Tau Ceti IV, Arthur worked with mission and colony leadership, as well as the dedicated Marathon AI [Leela, Tycho, Durandal], to online and initiate the colony's dedicated family suite of AI.
- Arthur's first step in colony family suite engagement was activating Lilith and Bastion and releasing the 1st wave of their human support crews to engage the initial phases of colonization:
- LILITH, Leadership and colonist preparedness:
- Civilian outreach and Education [with support from Joy]
- Mental health support [with support from Gabriel]

OVERVIEW:
- Of the main colony AI, Lilith has the most operational contact with the widest array of colonist lives. As a result, she plays an essential role in all aspects of the colony's civil foundation / communal health. This contact is not always immediately personal but is connected to daily living on a deeper level than most of the other colony AI.
- A key element of Lilith's core programming is the tenet, "the more useful people BELIEVE they are, the happier and healthier the colony will become." As such, she is built to elevate progress and de-escalate issues that can easily be mitigated with properly considered adjustments.

OVERVIEW:
- Bastion was the first AI to reach Tau Ceti IV and has the furthest reach across the planet of all colony AI. His initial support crew were the first to survey and analyze the planet and prepped and performed outpost deployment in coordination with Arthur, Leela, and Tycho.
- Working alongside colony leadership, Bastion identified and developed all aspects of the colony's infrastructure deployments, including:
- Central habitable living zone identification [aided by
Arthur, Naraah, and Gabriel]
- Ideal agricultural development environs [aided by Naraah and
Darius]
- Useful local resource mining/excavation sites
- [more]
- It is central to Bastion's design to firmly establish and then expand the colony on Tau Ceti IV. In pursuit of expansion, it is not uncommon for Bastion to siphon resources from other aspects of the colony, in coordination with colony leadership and guidance from Arthur and Lilith.

As an active participant in the "waking" and acclimation cycling of every colonist, Gabriel has access to every layer of a colonist's medical history and identity. Gabriel prides himself on being the most fully informed about any given colonist's state of function and, by extension, the minute-to-minute stability of the colony.
- In line with Arthur and Lilith's "support is the key metric in colony success/longevity," Gabriel takes great care in being every individual's personal physician. His bedside manner and expert use of varied sub-routines allow him to navigate the difficult "good news/bad news" balance inherent in health care.

An Introduction to WEAVEworms
WEAVEworms are a class of manufactured cybernetic organisms central to the print assembly of biocybernetic humanoid shell bodies. As a proprietary technology of the Sekiguchi Genetics corporation, WEAVEworms help ensure all neural sync and prosthetic products exceed industry standard thresholds for quality and comfort. As trailblazers and industry leaders in shell development, Sekiguchi Genetics pride ourselves on delivering "living" experiences our customers can thrive in.
We also understand the many needs of those seeking biomatic assistance in their daily lives. That's why we make new shell bodies for any "you" you want to be, with neural system integration our top priority. And WEAVEworms are the key to our success. Their patented deep-root biosynthetics allow for the threading of shells with inherent natural connections across all onboard systems, making any occupying mind feel at home.
Each WEAVEworm phylum hosts a specifically programmed hierarchy of sub-worm colonies, working in tandem to craft a shell to exact manufacturing, biological, and technological specifications. This cross-colony functionality allows for the seamless interweaving of tissue and nerves and networking to replicate, improve, and protect the complexities of organic housing.
In essence, WEAVEworms make a durable post-flesh existence possible.

SUMMARY: Overview of SYNTHsilk and its role in shell printing.
===================================================================
READ_ME.node
————————————————
An Introduction to SYNTHsilk
SYNTHsilk is the synthetic amalgamation of biological and manufactured materials WEAVEworms spin to thread the various layers of a shell's biosynthetic systems. It is comprised of lab-grown undifferentiated cells that have been edited for enhancement and to remove abnormalities before its integration into the worm "birthing" process.
No raw strands of SYNTHsilk exist in a shell. Every nano-spec of each thread is revisited by its initiating worm and many others as it is strengthened, molded, and woven into a fully realized synthetic fiber within its shell's "living" framework. This rethreading is achieved hundreds of times per strand, with a WEAVEworm's own bioprogramming "hunger" systems helping to encourage its progress. In short: Every worm, though functionally inorganic, has an endless "hunger" coded into its operational data sets. This allows it to chase the never-ending strand it is rethreading as it recycles the most exterior layer to aid in the production of its currently spun thread.
A word of warning: An unintended side effect of the "hunger"
system is that WEAVEworms allowed to interact free of or
with incomplete or damaged programming will attempt to
devour one another by default, creating a status knot which
requires full dismantling of all knotted worms to avoid
potential proprietary data corruption and/or access by
unapproved parties.
Each WEAVEworm is programmed to spin specifically calibrated SYNTHsilk threads for the job it has been assigned within its focus colony. Bone, tendons, muscle, nerves, veins, organs, skin layers, and more are all threaded in delicately synchronized patterns. The fine tuning of each shell's construction requires dedicated systems, custom labs, and experienced technicians. And while there are well-known instances of groups or individuals printing or repairing shells outside of Sekiguchi Genetics' authorized guidelines, it is a rare, and typically illicit, subversion of best practices that is strongly condemned by the company, its professional peers, and the UESC.
After all, the horrors of improperly "birthed," programmed, and overseen SYNTHsilk producers are both a cautionary tale and a hindrance to the broader public's view of shell technology. We save lives and improve living, but we are far from becoming the standard we envision.

The printing order of operation is as follows: skeletal structure system (all connections with subsequent systems are printed in tandem with those systems), nervous system (all connections with subsequent systems are printed in tandem with those systems), circulatory system (all connections with subsequent systems are printed in tandem with those systems), viscera (digestive, immune, lymphatic, respiratory, and filtration systems) and viscera support webbing, frontal/parietal cranial enclosure, semi-flexible skeletal structures, muscular system, integumentary system.
Depending on the model and series, the entire printing process may take as long as eight hours. This timetable is critical in ensuring that all purely biological systems remain viable.
In addition to WEAVEworm threading, there are numerous stages of advanced systems grafting and implementation being completed during, between, and after each printing stage. The most crucial is, of course, the neural housing and its biosync and memoratic layering which is onlined in microfractional instances alongside every step of the printing process. No other biomata manufacturer offers the same level of systemic collaboration between their bios and cybernetics. Every effort is made to ensure your shell, or any shell, is welcoming.
This dedication to neural scaffolding throughout shell development also allows Sekiguchi Genetics to provide Best in Class[1] neural eject safety nets to guarantee more complete mental integrity in rare cases of emergency shell evacuation. Beyond welcoming, we care for our customers' well-being. So remember, we'll take care of you. But be careful out there.

WEAVEworm Advancements
The proprietary blend of biocybernetics that WEAVEworms achieve in the printing of their biomatic shells provides a natural "living" experience for the occupying human mind beyond any other body replacement technology. This foundational comfort allows Sekiguchi Genetics' shell technology unique flexibility when it comes to systems and living augmentation. Implants, cores, and system upgrades all grant the end user the opportunity to customize their shell's minute-to-minute function. Further, enhancements like innate abilities programmed and engineered to serve as extensions of chosen lifestyle patterns give the occupant additional means with which to engage with their world. In many instances, we are pushing the boundaries of human existence. In many ways, we are not only seeing the evolution of what we consider a normal human life, we are guiding its hand to futures we can all embrace.
The variable freedom of choice provided by Sekiguchi Genetics' WEAVEworm-threaded shells is designed first and foremost for user comfort. Internal security and protections ensure neural safety. WARNING: Any attempts to subvert neural, software, or hardware design is illegal under UESC law and voids all warranties.
