CRYO ARCHIVE REGION: CONTROL

LOCATION: UESC MARATHON 

ROLE: Central cryo operations hub. 

OVERVIEW: CONTROL sits at the heart of the CRYO ARCHIVE. All REGIONS within the ZONE connect here. CONTROL houses massive cryo tanks that provided each REGION with a regulated supply of cryofluids to ensure all colonist sleep units and their scheduled sleep cycles were maintained with strict adherence to UESC cryo survival guidelines. 

CONTROL connects PRESERVATION to INDEX and BIOSTOCK to CARGO, supporting the safe and secure transition from cryostasis to long-term storage. CONTROL also connects INDEX and CARGO to REVIVAL and STEERAGE for the seamless passage of sleeping colonists to their wake-cycling support experiences.

CRYO ARCHIVE REGION: CARGO [Derelict]

LOCATION: UESC MARATHON 

ROLE: Secondary cryostasis storage facility. 

OVERVIEW: CARGO housed, monitored, and maintained general colonist population and ancillary biostock requiring stasis. Both the INDEX and CARGO storage facilities were considered among the most important aboard the UESC MARATHON. The successful storage of a healthy human being in cryostasis for prolonged periods is a delicate science. The success of the mission and subsequently the colony depended on the safe passage of all colonists from Sol to TAU CETI IV.

CRYO ARCHIVE REGION: INDEX [Dormant]

LOCATION: UESC MARATHON 

ROLE: Primary cryostasis storage facility. 

OVERVIEW: INDEX housed, monitored, and maintained Command-level and associated colony personnel. The main functional difference between all primary and secondary CRYO ARCHIVE facilities is their designed operational efficiency. Primary facilities supporting Command operations demanded additional backend and transitioning support as their "patients" required more frequent and, at times, emergency wake and/or sleep cycling. The general tech and care provided was equal across primary and secondary cryo operations.

ROLE: A secondary cryo inducement facility for inducing cryostasis in colonists and other biostock.  

OVERVIEW: BIOSTOCK was the cryostasis induction facility for the general population of colonists aboard the UESC MARATHON. It also served as the induction point for livestock and other biostock stores.

CRYO ARCHIVE REGION: PRESERVATION [Dormant]

LOCATION: UESC MARATHON 

ROLE: A main cryo inducement facility where colonists entered cryostasis.  

OVERVIEW: All colonists bound for TAU CETI IV were given scheduled cryostasis patterns, allowing them to spend the majority of the 300-year journey in suspended animation. The PRESERVATION facility is the REGION in which colonists enter cryostasis before transitioning to their dedicated arrays in INDEX for long-term storage until their next wake cycle.

LOCATION: UESC MARATHON 

ROLE: The secondary wake-cycling region for this cryo facility. 

OVERVIEW: The STEERAGE wing is a wake cycle facility dedicated to the colony's general population. Regardless of station, all colonists underwent the same transition from cryosleep to tranquility rooms to ensure a mentally and physically stable population.

ROLE: The main wake-cycling region for this cryo facility.  

OVERVIEW: The REVIVAL wing is where colonists transitioned from cryosleep to tranquility rooms, a process designed to ease the awakening of the mind and body after prolonged periods in cryostasis. 

REVIVAL appears to have been dedicated to mission, ship, and colony command personnel, their support staff, and their families.
