One such method is a high value container offering RUNNERS a healthy return on their investment, should they survive. Few do.

OVERVIEW: The UESC uses coded messaging to signal for emergency supply drops in contested ZONES. Because of the way they've hooked into old colony systems to improve their local comms, RUNNERS have figured out a way to mimic a UESC distress signal. Using colony access points to send a coded message that triggers a UESC crisis drop, a RUNNER or CREW can intercept the UESC response if they can reach the drop point without too many distractions [read: rivals RUNNERS or any other threat or opportunity that may pop up].

SCAVENGING: UESC TRANSPORT DRONE

OVERVIEW: UESC Transport Drones are small, aerial cargo transports utilized by UESC Security Forces on Tau Ceti IV to ferry salvage from the colony and defeated Runners to off-zone collection sites for transfer to UESC command vessels in orbit for assessment and cataloging.
Transport Drones tend to carry a variety of items—resources, materials, weapons—and they are lightly shielded, so don't be afraid to shoot them out of the sky to check their loot if you feel safe making a little noise while on a run.
REMARK: Free loot is free loot, unless another crew is in earshot of your pop shots. Careful out there, Runners. Greed is good, until it's not.

OVERVIEW: The UESC CONVOY DRONE ferries high-value items scavenged from TAU CETI and RUNNERS. The DRONE itself has a defensive shielding that only opens on its underside at checkpoints on its journey across a ZONE. It is also guarded by ASSAULT Troops for added protection against RUNNER theft.
Best option is to take out the guards before the DRONE reaches a checkpoint, then engage the DRONE itself.
Successfully destroying the DRONE will drop its payload for any RUNNER to loot [so watch your back]

OVERVIEW: The UESC use massive "data blockades" to cordon off an area from RUNNER activity.
A data blockade is an anti-RUNNER defensive measure that covers a large portion of a REGION with an invasive signal programmed specifically to confuse a SHELL's bio-cybernetic connections, making it increasingly dangerous to be within its range as a RUNNER's neural integrity will eventually fray. As scary as that sounds, a UESC LOCKDOWN tends to mean there is something of value worth the effort somewhere within the blockade's area of effect [AOE].
Daring RUNNERS [read: most RUNNERS at TAU CETI] see a LOCKDOWN as an opportunity worth the risks. The trick to surviving is multi-phased but hinges on the technical requirements of a blockade's operation.
First, to cover an area of any significant size the UESC must deploy a STEWARD operational support vessel. These are in short supply on Tau Ceti, so from the start the blockade requires dedicated resources that may limit the UESC's efforts or response across other ZONES.
Second, the blockade requires the STEWARD to connect with an end-point signal node somewhere within the affected area—essentially a digital link must be established to trigger and maintain the blockade's AOE.
If the LOCKDOWN requires a planet-side connection, that's something a RUNNER can locate and disrupt. That's assuming they can survive the invasive data assault long enough to get around UESC Security deployments, find the "off switch" and any loot worth the pain, then escape. No easy task. But prepared RUNNERS can buffer their SHELL's systems with an ANTI-VIRUS PACK, buying them time to push their luck.
